“Position Yourself to Win” has been very well received by both our Uptown campus staff and our Health Sciences Center staff. Your evaluations have received the highest scores so far in our staff training and development program, and, of course, we hope to continue our relationship far into the future.

Many of the Tulane staff, including me, were energized, motivated, and inspired by your presentation. Your personal example and the stories of your impressive triumphs certainly add to your credibility as a presenter on the topic of success.

Your course design was especially effective. The course was three hours long, and not one person was restless or inattentive; we were all in the moment, drawn to the “experience.” You really know how to engage your participants and create a respectful, mature learning environment, one that not only welcomes interaction, feedback, and questions, but one that also maintains a high level of comfort and safety.”

“Well, you have done it again. Your speech to 100 of our Windsor Court employees, Position Yourself to Win, has set everyone abuzz with energy.

I watched the audience as you spoke and saw so many positive reactions. With every head nod I could tell that your experience and stories related to theirs. Your integrity about your own life inspired the listener.

They said they gained a sense of how to apply your strategies in promoting themselves and their careers. They added that the program opened up some new possibilities for them. I believe you especially have been a good role model about accountability for your actions in your career and personal life.

You are very motivating and specific. The employees left knowing why we all will strive to stay the number one hotel in the world.

“Overall the workshop received a quantitative rating of 9.60 on a scale of 10. Employees’ qualitative comments also show their appreciation, especially for your way of expressing views and giving personal examples. More than one person noted that the down to earth honesty in the session gave them opportunities to share and learn more about how to work well with others. Participants said that they would apply their improved skills to solve difficult problems that arise. Several people said they learned the value of using creativity to prepare for success.

Our employees will be more dedicated to being open to work instructions and maintaining a workable relationship with their colleagues. They will strive to be more receptive to viewpoints of others in the workplace. The workshop was s step in the right direction in making them more willing to trust other ideas. We have started to review our personnel policies and procedures to assure opportunities for ways all employees can contribute. One long term benefit I anticipate because of this session is a greater sense of teamwork among workers.

If a company would like problems to resolve, this is an open forum to discuss it. You create an environment where participants can express ideas and differences that make for better solutions.”

“It was great to see by the time you conducted the last session of the four, we had standing room only. A month later, attendees were still talking about you. The general comment was the information really hit home because of the way you presented the material. They related well to you and actually listened to what you had to say. I think it was because you have a “feel” for them rather than lecturing to them. Both the audience and I loved the stories from your own personal experiences. You made us all laugh and illustrated your points well.

This investment was more successful that we had imagined it would be.”

“Your “Position Yourself to Win” workshop was very well-received!

We appreciate the homework you did in preparation for your workshop. You asked all the right questions. You thus became fully informed about the organization in which you were coming to facilitate your workshop. And the critiques were glowing: 9.84, on a 10-point scale. The comments we were most interested in were those that indicated real changes, i.e., those in response to “How will you apply the learning of this workshop to improve your effectiveness or to make yourself more marketable?” Just a few of those answers”

- To constantly try to learn more and grab all the opportunities offered to me
- I will improve my job by keeping a positive attitude in the workplace
- To become more patient and open to changes and new ideas in the workplace

People want and need to be enthused, empowered, capable of being fulfilled by their jobs. In my mind, workshops like “Position Yourself to Win” is one way to get there.”
