Dorothy "Dot" Waldrup,
JD is an attorney with 23 years of practice with
expertise in domestic law and employment discrimination. She has
represented cases in Louisiana, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court and
the U.S. Supreme Court. The Louisiana Supreme Court agreed with
her argument against a century-old provision in Louisiana called
the "Head Master" clause, which influenced equitable settlement
of property in divorce cases. Waldrup has presented nationwide
regarding the legal issues of sexual harassment and the workplace.
She has presented on Family Law, Sexual Discrimination
and Sexual Harassment for the National Business
Institute, the American Management Association, the Tulane and
Loyola University Schools of Law. Her first degree is from Auburn
University and her juris doctorate is from the University of Alabama.
The Association of Attorney Mediators also certifies her as a
mediator. Dot is on the board of Big Sisters of Greater New Orleans
and Campfire Girls and Boys. She has served as a Peace Corps volunteer
in Malaysia. Dot Waldrup was the first female admitted to the
New Orleans Athletic Club. She mixes the adversarial insights
from the field of law in the physical arena as an amateur boxer.
Dot is based in San Rafael, California.
